Maxine Wallace is a passionate visual storyteller with a mission to bridge communities and connect hearts through the art of portrait photography, cinematography, and photojournalism. 

Currently a Master’s candidate at the S.I. Newhouse School Of Public Communications at Syracuse University, her goal is to create visual narratives that humanize and celebrate people of all walks of life. She is the recipient of the 2023 Alexia Fall Workshop Excellence in Journalistic Storytelling Award. 

As a co-founder of the Region-Ninety collective, she is committed to fostering artistic connections and promoting creativity across Indianapolis, IN and Cincinnati, OH.

She has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Bicycling Magazine, ChalkBeat, Newfields: Indianapolis Museum of Art, Cincinnati Contemporary Arts Center,  Indy Arts Council, Indy Pride, and The Indianapolis Airport.

When she doesn’t have a camera in her hand Maxine enjoys going to Black punk music festivals, hiking, and watching classic Nicolas Cage movies.
